Worn Area Repair
Suitable for: Cashmere, wool, and wool-blend coats and outerwear
Worn area repair addresses the spots that show friction before they become holes: elbows, cuffs, the back of a collar. Whenever possible, fibre is harvested from the garment itself: pills from the surface, loose fibre from a seam allowance. The repair uses the coat's own cashmere.
The craft behind it:
Thinned areas are rebuilt by weaving yarn into the damaged area, then needle felting the matching fibre in place. This restores body and density to the fabric.
To the pieces you love.
How Long It Takes
Once your garment arrives at our studio, the repair takes up to 2-3 weeks. Occasionally it takes a little longer, usually when we need to source matching materials like a specific zipper, buckle, button, or beading. If that’s the case for your repair, we’ll be in touch to let you know.
