The craft behind it:

Invisible mending (also known as Swiss darning) is a time-honored hand technique that repairs damaged knitwear by duplicating the original "V" stitches with matching yarn. It takes patience and a trained eye. The mend disappears back into the knit.

Whenever possible, we harvest matching yarn from a discreet area of the sweater: the inside of a collar, a side seam, a pocket. The repair uses the sweater's own yarn.

How Long It Takes

Once your garment arrives at our studio, the repair takes up to 2-3 weeks. Occasionally it takes a little longer, usually when we need to source matching materials like a specific zipper, buckle, button, or beading. If that’s the case for your repair, we’ll be in touch to let you know.

HOW SHIPPING WORKS

We offer courier shipping across Canada through FedEx. When you book a service, you'll pay a shipping fee to send your item to our atelier. Once your restoration is complete, we cover the cost of returning it to you.
